NTV’s program “Red Alert: Investigation” is once again in the crosshairs of the Public Board of Press Complaints. The Institute for Law and Public Policy and Memorial, a human rights center, have submitted complaints regarding the “Eurocollectors” episode.

A post-release of the Public Board of Press Complaints has been published after a meeting held on September 13, 2017, that was devoted to the complaints of the Institute and Memorial. Grigory Vaypan and Marina Agaltsova presented key arguments regarding the unethical behavior of the journalist who prepared and released the episode.

The ad hoc Board, which will soon issue a verdict on the complaints regarding another episode of “Red Alert: Investigation”, included members of the Media Room Vladimir Lukin, who presided, and Vadim Ziyatdinov, Sergey Yenikolopov, Yury Kazakov, Viktor Monakhov, Ilya Shablinsky, and members of the Media Community Chamber Galina Arapova, Mañana Aslamazyan, Nikolay Svanidze, and Viktor Yukechev.

A final decision will be made public in one to three weeks.
